Porsche dominated the Thursday qualifying session at Circuit de la Sarthe for the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans. Neel Jani established a new all-time lap record of 3:16.887. With this performance, the Porsche performance platform and team strategy has proven consistent as they have locked out the field for the first three positions in the last four WEC events.
In other qualifying news, the No. 63 Corvette C7.R, driven by Jan Magnussen suffered a heavy impact from a mechanical failure in the Porsche Curves, resulting in the withdrawal of the No. 63 team.
